Hello, I hope you have reset it because it is a limit of 500km from the time it appears until you reset it. To reset it, put your key on the ignition and turn it to mark-on (don't turn on the engine), press the gas pedal full and hold it, and press the brake pedal 7 times.
CV boot change; 1. remove wheel trim. 2.slacken drive shaft nut after tapping the two lock tab parts back. You will need a breaker bar! 3. Remove road wheel. 4.Remove track rod ball joint nut & free the ball joint from where it passes through. 5. Undo the lower anti-role bar nut, washer and bush.
Hi,I wonder if anyone can help. My gear stick has recently become quite sticky and doesn't self centre when warmed up. I am planning on changing the gearbox oil but I'm struggling to find the fiat recommended 75w/85. Does anyone know if there is an alternative I can use. Any help would be appreciated.
Pump has 5 screes, 4 holding it, 1 for oil bleed. Accessed the screws from under the car and driver side wheel place (took wheel off). Took the pump down. The connector for the pump is on the left side as you look at the selespeed oil tank, disconnect it. Also there you can see the relay of the selespeed pump.
The engine does not rev up when changing to higher gears (2,3,4,5,6) and only rev up when change to lower gears on high speed. I was thinking about the slipping clutch as well, but the car wants to move forward when handbrake is on and in gears. Would you say is a bad gear oil or fuel / fuel injector problem?
the oil is there because that pipe is part of the crankcase ventilation system. if it didnt have oil i would be far more concerned. the notchy gearchange into 1st and 2nd isnt unsual with a cold gearbox. try replacing the fluid (use castrol) and add some molylube. it can really make a big difference. slick50 doesnt work so avoid it.
Hi guys My Bravo has developed a whine in 2nd, and a crutch in Reverse. she whine quietly in all gears but in 2nd its loud. this only happenswhen she is pushed hard. she also has a grumbling noise at idle, it goes away when the cluch is pressed. the problem i have is the car, a 2001
Let the hydraulic motor recirculate new oil. Step 18: After a minute or so. start the car cycle through D and R mode. and stop. Step 19: If everything works fine great else you may have to slightly calibrate the unit until it works satisfactory, this is done the same way as you adjust the manual clutch.

Make sure you use the right spec though, many cars use a gl4 spec oil but a lot of multipurpose gear oils are gl5 which can be too slippery for the syncros to work properly. After a journey of around 20 miles when I change from 2nd to 3rd the gear lever want to go into first if you are careful you can get it into 3rd no problem.
